What is the biggest challenge you face as a manager in leading your team?

Finding the right balance between experience and the need to develop new talent. This requires patience, good organisation and a strong internal culture of knowledge sharing. For me, it is extremely important to create an environment where experienced colleagues feel valued and recognised, and younger colleagues feel supported and encouraged. I believe in honest communication, an individual approach and clearly defined goals. This builds commitment, resilience and a sense of belonging – even when workloads are high and deadlines are tight.

The key quality a manager must have to be a good team leader is...

...the ability to inspire confidence and stability. To listen, understand and act with balance and consistency. Leadership is a responsibility that is demonstrated every day by your attitude to people and your willingness to help them grow. It means being available when challenges arise, setting a clear example when direction is needed, and genuinely celebrating the success of the team.

A true leader takes responsibility and gives others the stage to shine. A manager should be both a stable authority and personally accessible – someone to turn to, but also someone to learn from. When your people trust you and feel that you trust them, the team works with thought, heart and commitment. The greatest recognition for me is when I see that people not only believe in me, but also in themselves – and we move forward together.

За мен е изключително важно да създам среда, в която опитните колеги се чувстват ценени и признати, а по-младите – подкрепени и насърчени. Залагам на честност в комуникацията, индивидуален подход и ясно дефинирани цели. Това изгражда ангажираност, устойчивост и усещане за принадлежност – дори когато натоварването е високо, а сроковете – кратки.

Ключовото качество, което един мениджър трябва да притежава, за да е добър лидер на екип, е...

...способността да вдъхва доверие и стабилност. Да умее да слуша, да разбира и да действа с мярка и последователност. Лидерството е отговорност, която се доказва всеки ден чрез отношението към хората и готовността да ги развиваш. Това означава да си на разположение, когато има трудност, да даваш ясен пример, когато се изисква посока, и да се радваш искрено на успеха на екипа.

Истинският лидер поема отговорност и дава сцена на другите да блеснат. Мениджърът трябва да бъде и стабилен авторитет, и човешки близък – някой, към когото можеш да се обърнеш, но и от когото да се учиш. Когато хората ти вярват и усещат, че и ти вярваш в тях, екипът работи с мисъл, сърце и ангажираност. Най-голямото признание за мен е, когато виждам, че хората вярват не само на мен, но и на себе си – и заедно вървим напред.
