A businesswoman and designer, Mila Zaharieva is inspired by her exclusive fashion brand and supports the fashion sector, as well as the development of young designers and fashion labels in Bulgaria and across the Balkans.

La Cara Mi Exclusive by Mila Zaharieva is a fashion brand that was launched at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, a time of isolation that allowed Mila Zaharieva's creativity to flourish. The first collection, Home Edition, was born: loungewear that makes you want to step outside just to show it off. Soft, comfortable and beautiful, the garments are made from silky velvet and satin and adorned with Brussels lace. Each piece in the sporty-elegant collection is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The high-quality workmanship is visible even on the inside of the garments produced by La Cara Mi Exclusive, underscoring the brand's class.

While building her fashion brand, designer and entrepreneur Mila Zaharieva decided to establish an organisation to support Bulgaria's fashion industry and local creatives who often struggle to market their collections. At the time, Ms Zaharieva was president of the Business Lady Club, an organisation comprising prominent businesswomen. This is how she founded the International Fashion Connection Group (IFC Group).

The International Fashion Connection Group's mission is to support Bulgarian fashion brands in finding international markets. The IFC organises international exhibitions and events, providing a platform for collaboration between designers, manufacturers and retailers. It also offers Bulgarian creatives the opportunity to showcase their collections at prestigious fashion forums such as Milan Fashion Week, Feeric Fashion Week and International Fashion Week Dubai.

These events feature Bulgarian and Balkan fashion brands, with runway shows including models trained at the International Fashion Casting Academy. The academy works with young women who, with the support of the IFC, gain the confidence to appear on the international fashion stage.

During International Fashion Week Dubai

Student brands also gain exposure through the SECRET FASHION SHOW, a social project organised by the IFC team with the support of Sofia Municipality and the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture. Participating designers showcase their work in historically significant venues such as the Largo and the Ancient Serdica ruins, in Sofia. The aim is to promote Bulgaria's historical heritage and cultural landmarks on an international scale.

Another IFC event, BALKAN OPEN DOOR, weaves together the traditions and innovations of the Balkans in the realm of fashion. Taking place in various countries across the region, it aims to give Balkan brands greater visibility and access to international markets. The upcoming BALKAN OPEN DOOR – INTERNATIONAL FASHION CONNECTION IN DUBAI event, organised by the IFC Group, aims to establish retail outlets in Dubai and other Balkan countries. An IFC showroom is also set to open soon in Belgrade, Serbia.

Secret Fashion Show, a social project by IFC

Another key focus of IFC is creative work with children. Fashion designers work with children from the National Educational Complex for Culture with Italian Language Studies, where participants design and sew their own fashion collections in design classes. In partnership with Singer Bulgaria, IFC has equipped a professional classroom with sewing machines and all the necessary amenities to support the children's creative work.

Mrs Mila Zaharieva, President of the IFC Group, wants to support creative individuals because they need opportunities to develop their talents and businesses.

Balkan Open Door, събитие, организирано от IFC

La Cara Mi Exclusive by Mila Zaharieva е моден бранд, стартирал в началото на пандемията от COVID-19 – време на изолация, което дава възможност на творчеството на Мила Захариева да заработи с пълния си потенциал и размах. Така се ражда първата колекция – Home Edition: домашни дрехи, които ни карат да искаме да излезем навън, за да ги покажем. Меки, комфортни и красиви, изработени от копринено кадифе и сатен, аранжирани с брюкселска дантела – всяка дреха от колекцията спортно-елегантни сетове е създадена с фокус върху детайла. Вървейки по пътя към създаването на модна марка, дизайнерката и бизнесдама Мила Захариева решава да създаде организация в подкрепа на модния бранш в България и на българските творци, които трудно реализират своите колекции. Мисията и целите на International Fashion Connection Group (IFC) са да подпомага българските модни брандове в намирането на международни пазари. IFC организира международни изложения и събития, като предоставя платформа за сътрудничество между дизайнери, производители и търговци, и дава възможност на български творци да представят колекциите си на престижни модни форуми като Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week, Feeric Fashion Week, International Fashion Week Dubai и други.

В събитията участват не само български, но и балкански модни брандове, а в дефилетата вземат участие модели, обучени в International Fashion Casting Academy. Академията работи с млади момичета, които с подкрепата на IFC се чувстват уверени на международния моден подиум.

Изява получават и студентски брандове чрез социалния проект на IFC Group – SECRET FASHION SHOW, който екипът на IFC организира с подкрепата на Столична община и Министерство на културата. Участващите творци се изявяват на места с историческа стойност, като Ларгото и разкопките на Антична Сердика. Целта е да се популяризира нашето историческо наследство и културни паметници в международен аспект.

Представяне на новата колекция Colour Accent на Summer Fashion Week на Марина Диневи

BALKAN OPEN DOOR е друго събитие на IFC, което вплита традициите и иновациите на Балканите в модното изкуство. То ще се провежда в различни страни от региона, а целта му е балканските брандове да получат по-голяма видимост и достъп до международни пазари. Предстоящото събитие BALKAN OPEN DOOR – INTERNATIONAL FASHION CONNECTION IN DUBAI, организирано от IFC Group, има за цел да установи точки на продажба в Дубай и в други балкански страни. Предстои и откриване на шоурум на IFC в Белград, Сърбия.

Творческата работа с деца е друга ключова цел на IFC. Модни дизайнери работят с децата от Националния учебен корпус по култура с изучаване на италиански език, където участниците създават и шият свои модни колекции в часовете по моден дизайн. В партньорство със Singer България, IFC оборудва професионален кабинет с шевни машини и всички необходими удобства за работа на децата.
