Why does our skin and hair deserve to be given eLek care?
eLek manufactures organic and natural Bulgarian cosmetics after authentic and contemporary recipes, which have stood the test of time, in its own, modern production lab. Our main substances are from naturally growing gifts of Nature. We use plants, organic floral waters, basic and essential oils of controlled agriculture from regions clean of industries, and partner with leading formulators and toxicologists. eLek's products have rejuvenating and regenerating properties and provide luxury and complex care for the face, the hair, the body and the hands. All our products are a lek, or healing, for the skin – literally and metaphorically.
What is the philosophy of eLek's new series of antiage moisturisers with plant stem cells?
This is a new generation of cosmetics based on high-class scientifically proven effective ingredients. Plant stem cells and in vitro cultures actively fight the signs of ageing at a cellular level and preserve youth and vigour. Our formulas also have powerful antioxidant and rejuvenating effects. Using such products for extended periods of time has a significant effect against oxidative stress and protects the skin against photoageing and environmental pollution.
On what principle did you select the plants for this series?
The emblematic Bulgarian Rosa damascena is a cocktail of phenolic compounds, terpenes, glycosides, flavonoids and anthocyanins with powerful antioxidant, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties. The result is an active cosmetic ingredient that is a strong antidote to skin's inflammatory processes (acne, rosacea, pollution) and aging.
Haberlea has the incredible capability to survive for long periods without water. It has been scientifically proven that Haberlea extract boosts the skin's collagen and elastin production and reduces UV-induced oxidation. It makes the skin more elastic and brilliant, hydrates, reduces pigmentation and has a lifting effect.

Каква е философията на новата серия антиейдж кремове с растителни стволови клетки на eЛек?
Това е козметика от ново поколение, базирана на научно доказано работещи съставки от най-висок клас. Растителните стволови клетки и in vitro култури активно противодействат на признаците на стареене на клетъчно ниво и запазват младостта и енергията. Формулите ни имат и мощно антиоксидантно и подмладяващо действие. Продължителното използване на продукти с такъв състав имат сериозен ефект срещу оксидативния стрес и предпазват кожата от фотостареене и замърсяване от околната среда.
На какъв принцип подбрахте растенията, които използвате в тази серия?
Емблематичната българска Rosa damascena е коктейл от фенолни съединения, терпени, гликозиди, флавоноиди и антоцианини с мощни антиоксидантни, антибактериални и антимикробни свойства. Резултатът е активна козметична съставка, която е мощен антидот срещу възпалителните процеси в кожата (акне, розацея, замърсявания) и нейното стареене.
Haberlea има забележителната способност да оцелява дълго време без вода. Научно доказано е, че екстрактът от Haberlea повишава синтеза на колаген и еластин в кожата и намалява UV-индуцираната оксидация. Той прави кожата по-еластична и бляскава, хидратира я, намалява пигментацията и има лифтинг ефект.
