Windrose is a licensed Aviation Training Organization specialised in just that – training and developing the professionals that make the world turn today and tomorrow. The company's founder, Krasimira Karadzhova MBA, is a woman whose career in the field covers over two decades in people management at airports.

What is specific about recruiting and training personnel for the aviation industry?

Aviation is a very special industry because behind every standard operating procedure, every flight, and every operational decision, there are people carrying enormous responsibility. That is why recruitment in aviation is so different. We do not simply hire employees. We select people who can operate in an environment where safety, precision, trust, and human interaction are critical every day.

Aviation evolves constantly through new technologies, regulations, and operational challenges. Professionals must continuously learn, adapt, and increasingly develop agility. Today, successful aviation training goes far beyond technical knowledge. In aviation, competence is visible not only in what you know, but in how you react, communicate, cooperate, and perform in critical and irregular situations. This is why human performance and behavioural competencies are becoming just as important as technical expertise.

Why do companies operating in aviation need Windrose?

Because aviation today needs more than standard training providers. Companies need partners who understand both the operational reality of aviation and the human side behind performance.

Windrose was created from exactly this understanding. After many years in aviation, leadership, and Human Resources Management, I realized that technical expertise alone is not enough for long-term success. The industry needs professionals who are adaptable, emotionally resilient, and able to communicate effectively in multicultural environments.

What expertise do you and your colleagues rely on to provide adequate, timely, and practical training?

Everything we teach is strongly connected to real experience. My own professional journey includes more than two decades in aviation and over 18 years in Human Resources Management, leadership development, and international projects. I have worked in operational environments, multicultural teams, training, people management, and strategic development, and all of this shapes the way I approach learning.

Our team combines strong industry knowledge and aviation expertise with extensive hands-on experience. We also integrate neuroscience-based methodologies through Neuro-Agility practices, helping professionals enhance learning, adaptability, and workplace performance. Aviation professionals need practical tools they can immediately apply in their work and communication.

Which are your most popular courses?

One of our strongest areas is English Language Proficiency preparation and assessment. In aviation, communication is not just a formality or a language exam. Clear communication directly impacts safety, teamwork, and decision-making.

We also see growing interest in safety-related training, aviation security, cybersecurity awareness, human factors, passenger experience, proficiency checks, and operational audits. The industry increasingly recognizes that technical competence alone is no longer enough. Organizations need professionals who can manage pressure, adapt to constant change, communicate effectively, and maintain high performance in complex operational environments.

We are still used to thinking of aviation as a predominantly male profession. Why is this perception outdated?

Because reality has already changed. Today, women are pilots, airport managers, instructors, engineers, trainers, executives, and leaders across every area of aviation. They are making important decisions, leading teams, and contributing enormously to the development of the industry worldwide.

I believe aviation has never truly been about gender. It has always been about competence, responsibility, discipline, and passion for the profession.

What is changing now is visibility. More women are stepping confidently into leadership and operational roles, and diversity itself is becoming a real strength for organizations because different perspectives improve communication, teamwork, and decision-making.

How can Windrose help women "take off" professionally in aviation?

Aviation is a profession that constantly challenges you to grow, adapt, and move beyond your limits. It teaches discipline, resilience, responsibility, and courage, but also humility and trust in people.

This understanding inspired our Clear To Take Off Institute team of remarkable aviation professionals, Anna Bryukova (IAP), Pepina Miteva (PhD) and me to create Clear To Take Off – A Practical Guide for Women in Aviation and Men Who Champion Change. The book was born from real experiences, difficult moments, important lessons, and the shared belief that every challenge can become an opportunity for growth and transformation.

It is not simply a book about aviation. It is a story about resilience, ambition, authenticity, leadership, and the courage to continue moving forward even when the direction ahead is not entirely clear. But this story is also about the people who encourage and support others to grow. In my own life, my father was one of those people. In many ways, Clear To Take Off – A Practical Guide for Women in Aviation and Men Who Champion Change is also dedicated to those mentors, leaders, colleagues, fathers, and partners who help others believe in their own potential.
