Rumyana Georgieva, the founder, has created a safe place where you are supported to find your inner peace of mind
You are looking for a sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of the city? Just one step behind the Joy Yoga entrance door and you're in a different world, where kindness, curiosity and courage are in the air. We talked to Rumyana Georgieva, the founder, to learn more about this place.
What makes Joy Yoga special?
The idea behind Joy Yoga is to meet clients' needs in three directions – body, soul, and food. What makes us unique is that at one place we offer yoga practices, psychotherapy (IFS) and freshly prepared Ayurvedic food. Regarding this holistic concept, we follow leading yoga studios in the UK, US and India.
Our way of taking care of the body is to offer more than 20 different yoga practices, Pilates, sound relaxation, dancing meditation.
We are proud with our beautiful and sparkling clean yoga halls equipped with a huge variety of yoga and Pilates accessories – Manduka mats, blocks, bricks, straps, bolsters, blankets, dumbbells, balls, bands, and more.
Our way of taking care of the mental health is through IFS (Internal Family Systems) model which is highly appreciated in the US and Europe because of its huge efficiency and immediate results. IFS is applied in individual, couples and group sessions.
And last but not least, we prepare delicious and healthy food inspired by Ayurvedic principles. Every day we offer meals which resonate with a planet's color and impact on people. Our food is pleasure and health.
Who can benefit from the yoga practices?
Everyone is welcome, because we offer classes suitable for beginner and advance students, pregnant women, mums with babies, males and females – regardless of their age and fitness level.
Is yoga suitable for kids?
The answer is Yes! In Joy Yoga we have specially created Yoga Fit (for 4 to 9 years old kids) and Teen Yoga (for 10 to 14 years old kids). These practices are helping the children to become aware of their body and mind. The little ones are enjoying it because we teach yoga as a play and the classes imitate animals, birds, trees, and flowers' poses.
Besides the yoga practices, why did you decide to offer Pilates classes too?
A big part of our concept is the health of the body. Pilates is very efficient for the strength of lumbar and belly muscles and spine flexibility. Beside this, the practice meets yoga with ballet, and focuses on balance and resistance. Speaking about this, we would invite you to have fun on our event "Pilates with small balls and bands" on Sunday, the 8th of December 2024, from 10 am to 1 pm.
