The methodology of the international English learning chain "Helen Doron" is based on this principle. Albena Zahmanova, the national franchisee of Helen Doron English, has been developing the network of learning centers in Bulgaria for 15 years. What sets the Helen Doron methodology apart?

Unlike traditional language learning, the Helen Doron methodology prioritizes the individual language skills in the most natural order for acquisition: understanding -> speaking -> reading -> writing -> grammar.

We do not just teach words; we create situations in which children use the language in action. Our lessons are interactive, diverse, and tailored to the skills of the children in the group, so we can be as helpful as possible to each one of them.

We offer multisensory learning, which has been proven to make the memorization of information easier and more effective.

A core component of our method is music. Each of our courses is rich in songs from a variety of musical styles, which include the vocabulary being taught.

Why is there only one lesson per week in the Helen Doron program?

One lesson per week is not enough for a child to learn a foreign language. However, when combined with daily passive listening to the material being taught, it becomes a recipe for success! When children regularly listen to our audio files, they come to class already having memorized a large part of the words and phrases. All that remains is for them to understand their meaning and feel comfortable speaking.
