Parallax Studio Ltd. was founded in Sofia in 2015 and specialises in the field of investment design. Beyond the E871 highway and after the last premises of Sofia's Business Park, a white metal palisade shields an immense building site. The borehole drilling resonates from within. The summer sun is burning. With Vitosha mountain against a clear blue sky for a background, a sandy country lane meanders up a plateau.

Could you tell us a little bit about your journey into architecture?

Architect Militsa Petrova and architect Asen Ignatov founded Spacemode Studio to design spaces that achieve functionality, balance and a harmonious relationship between buildings and the environment. Architect Petrova is also passionate about the preservation of architectural heritage. Her doctoral thesis is dedicated to modernist architecture on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, focusing on its conservation, the study of spatial memory and the potential for sustainable development of urban models.

With 20 years of experience and over 700 single-family house projects, ISPDD Studio has perfected the art of turning your dreams into reality by offering innovative and modern architectural solutions. The studio's mission is to create a living space that reflects individuality and meets all client needs. Its team of ten young and dedicated architects is fluent in all the latest technologies and can visualise any idea competently and on time, designing homes that are as unique as you.

A rather depressing sight. But for architect Daniela Byutyuneva, CEO and co-founder of 2x22studio-architecture, these sad ruins can be brought back to life. How did you get the idea to focus on the restoration of old buildings?

Interior cladding of bamboo wood transform spaces by adding aesthetic value to them, improve rooms' thermal and acoustic insulation properties and are an environmentally friendly choice that meets the current requirements for green construction.

The studio stands out with its team's diverse experience that covers work on a wide spectrum of projects – from large public buildings to the finest elements of interior design. This diversity allows us to have a 360-degree overview of each project and gives a comprehensive and well thought-over approach in architecture and design.

Moving power: Improving the environment

Looking both south and towards the Vitosha mountain, with a fast access to the city centre, it is one of the best developments to live or invest in in Bulgaria.
