After graduating in architecture in Bulgaria, Miglena Pfoertner began her career as an architect in Germany, where she designed residential buildings, multi-family housing complexes and large-scale industrial and commercial projects. The experience she gained in German design practice, with its focus on high quality detailing, functionality, energy efficiency and refined European aesthetics, became the foundation of Atelie MP, which she established in Troyan in 2025.

Nikolov Architect is a high technology boutique studio that applies standards typically reserved for large scale infrastructure projects to the field of private residential construction. The studio is among the innovators using BIM technology to create a "digital twin" of buildings. The quality of Nikolov Architect's projects cannot go unnoticed, this is why for a second year in a row the studio has won awards by the Pazardzhik's chapter of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria. The studio's founder, architect Stefan Nikolov, shares more.

Beyond the E871 highway and after the last premises of Sofia's Business Park, a white metal palisade shields an immense building site. The borehole drilling resonates from within. The summer sun is burning. With Vitosha mountain against a clear blue sky for a background, a sandy country lane meanders up a plateau.
