In today's global human resources market, where competition for talent is fierce and candidate expectations are constantly evolving, companies face real challenges in finding suitable employees. This demands continuous adaptation and the introduction of new approaches, as well as a re-evaluation of traditional practices for attracting, retaining, and developing talent.

SP Audit, a dynamic HR consulting firm based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, successfully supports dozens of companies across Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Spain, Greece, and beyond through a wide range of specialized activities. In discussing the challenging aspects of the field with founder and general manager Tanya Nonova, she emphasizes the role of values her team abides to achieve their successful results – honesty, professional ethics, and an unwavering pursuit of sustainable solutions.

After 10 years in the market, SP Audit has achieved impressive success in Bulgaria and has even entered the international market. Why do companies from countries such as Germany and Austria choose to partner with you?

Yes, we are marking ten interesting years and I am extremely happy with what we have achieved so far and the new opportunities that are opening up for us. I don't have an exact recipe for success, but I deeply believe that it would have been impossible without our incredible team.

I am grateful that with persistence and dedication we found the right partners, colleagues, and lessons to reach this stage. Like a child that grows up with love, enthusiasm, and a constant drive for new knowledge, so too does our business grow and evolve in an ever-changing world.

The truth is, the pursuit of quality, precision, integrity, and an individual approach are at the foundation of everything we do. I think that's what built strong and lasting relationships, and why our Bulgarian partners were the ones who recommended us to their colleagues in Austria and Germany. And why the latter choose us – the services we offer are of a quality that matches our competitors in Western Europe and are still more cost-effective. We understand the Bulgarian and European markets and legislation, and in our field, this is more than mandatory.

On the eve of its 10th anniversary, SP Audit has successfully expanded its services through three independently functioning divisions. This strategic reorganization allows us to better focus on communicating with our clients, addressing their specific needs in various areas – from executive recruitment, staff hiring, and temporary employment to services such as labour law consulting, payroll, planning, restructuring and team development.

What is the profile of the workers and professionals that are sought abroad and whom you help to find temporary or permanent jobs? How do you find quality candidates for the positions advertised?

A significant percentage of the companies we work with are manufacturing, engineering, and commercial chains. Hence, the profile of the experts they seek from us is related to these industries and includes various professions occupied in this type of company. Years ago, mainly lower-skilled workers were sought from Bulgaria, but this has changed, and Western European companies are increasingly turning to us in search of experts – production, lean and project managers, experts in planning and supplies, engineers, commercial managers, financiers. Both for their offices there and for their subsidiaries here. The preferred profile is well-educated and skilled, English and German languages are must-haves, and depending on their needs, they might seek both recently graduated specialists or experts with proven experience. We add to their requirements – intellect, energy, enthusiasm, and loyalty, as cliche as it may sound, these are mandatory conditions.

Finding candidates is a challenge and is becoming increasingly difficult. Our advantage is that we have the privilege of working for employers with excellent reputation, and our candidates know us and trust us. For the team and myself, it is important to be loyal to both sides without misleading either and to be certain that we are matching the candidate with the best possible place for them. This builds trust over time and works unconditionally.

Business consulting is a serious part of your activity. How do you manage to give each client, regardless of their size, optimal advice for their sustainable development?

When establishing SP Audit we wanted to offer something different from what was widely popular on the market. I think we succeed at it. We believe that every business, regardless of its scale, deserves an individual approach tailored to its specific needs and goals. We strive to get to know the teams, to understand the processes, policies, goals, and leadership style of our clients very well. Yes, it is difficult and time-consuming, but it is worth it in order to allow ourselves to advise them. Not just to consult according to the situation based on the law or regulations, the trends of the labor market, using our experience and knowledge, but to also advise qualitatively, with understanding and careful assessment. Our partners trust us with the most sensitive part of their business – the human capital, and our responsibility for this is extraordinary.

Last but not least – our experience has taught us that sustainable development requires continuous evaluation and adaptation. We remain committed to our clients to discuss the results achieved and assist with necessary adjustments when needed, to ensure the company's resilience, the people's satisfaction and their shared growth.
