BULGARIAN VILLAGES AND SOFIA'S SUSTAINABLE URBAN ENVIRONMENT IN THE FOCUS OF GREEN DAYS

Green Days, the festival of responsible business and tourism, is again inviting you to discover manufacturers and distributors of natural and bio products, less explored destinations and Bulgarian producers of clean food, health and quality, together with representatives of the Green House network and alternative tourism, shops for mountaineer equipment, civic initiatives and green causes.

Between 30 September and 2 October, the event takes place in the Sofia City Garden, near the National Theatre. The focus of this year's forum are the possibility of transforming the Bulgarian village, and the problems of sustainable environment.

Green Days 2016 starts on 30 September with presentation of ideas and causes supported by the organisers, and with an open lessons in folklore dances from the Divlya village. The next day is all about mountain, including the presentation of the European Commission awarded project "Of Balkan and People" that encourages small farmers and business among nature. Additional events include children's competitions in biking and climbing, yoga sessions, running and biking as green activities.

The main goal of the forum is to help people of Sofia to discover new forms of adventure and activities among nature, and to help the creation of sparing attitude towards nature resources and lasting change in the mindset towards respect of the culture and nature heritage, and the living traditions of Bulgaria.
