Art and nature are on the opposite sides of the world - one is man-made, the other is created by powers beyond human's. The two, however, can coexist. The ART-NATURE symposium, organised by Duppini non-governmental arts and crafts association and the Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, aims to show how.

For nine days, 10 artists from South Korea, Japan, Italy, Germany and Bulgaria, will work and create together, using nature both as material and as a context in the village of Gabrovtsi and the Duppini neighbourhood, just 20 km away from expat-heaven Veliko Tarnovo.

The installations will be presented in their authentic environment on 29 June, during the Doors Open Day when everyone is welcomed. The ambassadors of South Korea, Japan, Italy and Germany are also invited.

If you miss the event, you still have a chance to taste the symposium atmosphere. On 2 July an exhibition of the ART-NATURE in Han Hadzhi Nikoli Gallery in Veliko Tarnovo shows extensive photo and video footage, documenting the creative process.

When: 24 June to 3 July

Where: Gabrovtsi Village and Duppini Neighbourhood, 20 km south of Veliko Tarnovo
