Poetry, music, and love – the three go hand in hand in the poetry reading of the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia.

On 13 February, at the Nadezhda Hall of Sofia City Library, the poems of three authors will be read to celebrate St Valentine's Day in a heady flow of Italian, Bulgarian, and violin music. The contemporary poet Annamaria Abbruzzetti, bearer of literary awards, brings the Italian flavor to the programme, while Bulgarian symbolist Peyo Yavorov will be presented with his tender love poems. The bridge between the two comes from Irina Yordanova, translator of Peyo Yavorov and poet, who writes in both languages. The accompanying violin by Diana Stancheva completes the atmosphere of romance and elevates the poems' impact to another level.
