The custom of Christmas Eve dinner has many varieties according to the region. And when you are in Bulgaria, why not celebrate in the Bulgarian style? For the evening of 24 December restaurant Vratata offers a Christmas Eve menu, which conforms to the traditions: it should be vegan and there should be a certain number of dishes.

You will be able to try sarmi, or stuffed vine leaves, peppers, tikvenik, or pumpkin pie, and of course pita, or round bread with a coin inside. Remember: whomever gets the coin has luck in the following year, so reach out for a bigger slice.
